One of the most magical moments at the lodge is spending a few hours in the hushed silence of the African bush under the glistering canopy of the Milky Way and discovering more about the glittering charm of galaxies, constellations and stars. Visitors from outside Africa have always been amazed at the view from the “dark continent”.

Hot Air Ballooning

There are no words to describe the unforgettable experience of viewing the pristine expanse of the savannah and the many species of game from the air at a walking pace. Guests of the lodge are offered the unique opportunity of experiencing an exhilarating flight in a balloon for a 360 degrees birds’ eye view without disturbing the wildlife.

Wellbeing space

The lodge offers a home away from home with little human and motion pollution. The air is filled with a zillion sounds of birds, crickets and the little creatures buzzing about the day. In contrast the dead quiet of the night with occasional wooing from the hyena’s, lion’s roars allows the pin drop silence to penetrate the soul.

Hike up the gentle slopes of Snowy mountain

The mountain – the tallest in Africa- capped with snow and ice rises 5,200 meters from the hot, dry savannah through rainforest and hardy scrublands to a rocky and icy summit at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet) above sea level.

For the avid hikers and trekkers the lodge can arrange to scout the rainforest in the immediate vicinity as well as the distant in the Loitokitok region. At a small additional cost these would be arranged as day treks with highly experienced mountaineers. The trek would include transport to the starting point, picnic hamper and guide.

Every moment with a constant view of the Mountain, the park, the pleistocene lake, the wildlife, the enormous birdlife around the lodge, the bath and thirst quenching images of wildlife give endless opportunities to capture these moments for families to relieve once thay are back home.
